We want children at Cupernham Junior School to be

In order to do this we aim:-

to ensure that confidence and self esteem are encouraged in all areas of school life;

to provide a purposeful learning environment where pupils are proud to achieve the highest potential

to promote spiritual, moral and cultural awareness in an environment where children are encouraged to develop tolerance and mutual respect;

to encourage social awareness by providing opportunities for children to participate in the running of the school;

to develop a competence in all aspects of the curriculum within and beyond the National Curriculum;

to encourage pupils to approach life with an open, flexible and cheerful attitude.

The Cupernham Code

At Cupernham Junior School we always do our best to:

walk around the school quietly, keeping to the left and staying within permitted areas

show respect for all adults by being polite, following instructions and standing aside;

show respect for each other by acting and speaking with kindness and consideration;

look after our own belongings and those of others, including all school property;

play in a safe way that doesn’t hurt or upset other people and never bully others.
