A personal letter from the Head Teacher

At this school we are extremely proud of our achievements both in and out of the classroom. The achievement of excellence in all aspects of school life is the overriding aim of all staff and governors. To this end we endeavour to work with you, the parents, in the close partnership which is necessary to achieve this aim. We are not complacent in being proud of our achievements and continually strive to improve our ability to ensure a relevant education for each individual pupil irrespective of his or her ability.
We know that children learn best in an environment where they feel secure, happy, and confident. In the pages of this brochure you will find various references to ways in which we endeavour to encourage and support these feelings for our pupils.

Prospective parents are welcome to come and visit our school so that the reality of day to day life at Cupernham Junior can be sampled at first hand. You will be made welcome to see how each pupil is important to us. We are able to offer the benefits of a larger type of primary school whilst treating pupils as individuals. We may have over 300 pupils, but we count them in ones!

The school office is open between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. during term time. You are very welcome to contact us for enquiries at any time.

Yours sincerely

Beginning life at a new school can, inevitably, raise many questions, concerns and anxieties for both the pupil and the parent. Often these concerns may relate to certain aspects of the school organisation: others may relate to the curriculum. It is my sincere hope that within this web site, many of these potential problems may be resolved and, therefore, the smooth integration of your child into Cupernham Junior School will be assured.
