The children had to work well in their teams when presenting their findings

Mr Geary's Maths group have been collecting data. They ran a stall at the Christmas Fayre and recorded a range of statistics. They wanted to find out if probability has anything to do with age or gender.

The game involved a player rolling six dice. The idea was to try and throw as many sixes as possible. The children recognised that it was very unlikely for someone to throw six sixes in one go. However, they were a little surprised with what they found out. The children then collated the data, organised it using excel and then finally placed their findings in a powerpoint presentation.

Once collated the data had to be organised on the computer and placed in excel

There was a lot of number crunching needed!
